Who runs this site

Islamicmetal.com is run by Barquq and Qalawoon Corporations, Los Angeles. For any privacy question, write to info@islamicmetal.com.

What we collect

  • The email address you give in the book signup form.
  • Cookies and device, browser and page-activity data collected by the Meta Pixel, including views of the book preview and clicks on the store buttons.
  • Standard hosting logs kept by our web server, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of each request.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Umami, an open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves, so these statistics are not shared with an analytics company. Umami uses no cookies and stores no personal data. It records the pages viewed, the referring site and campaign link, the browser, device and country, and actions such as opening the book preview or clicking a store button. Your IP address is not retained.

Why we collect it

  • To send book news to people who asked for it.
  • To measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

Who else receives it

  • Meta Platforms, which operates the Meta Pixel. Meta describes its own use of this data in its privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.
  • The email-signup provider the site uses (Twilio SendGrid), which delivers signup addresses to our inbox.
  • Amazon or IngramSpark, only when you click through to their store. Their own privacy policies apply from then on.

Your choices

  • If you see the cookie notice, you can decline it and the Meta Pixel will not run.
  • You can unsubscribe from any email we send.
  • You can ask info@islamicmetal.com to delete your signup at any time.
